It's funny that the real reason Facebook isn't in China is because they wouldn't provide the government with any data during a terrorist attack in 2009 that killed over 100 people. Since then the CPC has known US social media is just an agent of regime change
The Indian oligarchy after independence were the same ones that served the British imperialists as vassals. They had no interest in lifting the average person up, more in making an easy buck. They blocked the land reform (that would have taken land from them) and public investments in health and education (higher taxes) that China carried out under Mao. From 1949 to 1976, China grew at twice the rate India did and gained full literacy decades before India while having a much lower mortality rate. China was primed to benefit from Deng's market reforms, India was primed for oligarch corrupt extractive neoliberal capitalism after the "License Raj" ended in the 1990s.
Doesn't seem like the use of LLMs in the service sector will reduce demand for Indian workers. In fact it might actually increase it. So far LLMs have increased average productivity and reduced productivity gaps between low skilled and high skilled employees. So far this should reduce the gap between average American engineer and Indian engineer.
I spent many years as a software executive, the Indian software engineers are many times better than the average American engineer. It is not a relative productivity issue, it is one of local supply and demand and that US software engineers exist in a very much richer overall nation.
Software is a tradeable service. If Indian engineers are so great why aren't American firms setting up offices in India to take advantage of the lower costs?
There is a huge amount of outsourcing to India, and many firms such as IBM have set up offices in India. In fact IBM has more software developers in India than in the US. Others utilize outsourcers such as Wipro, Infosys. Tata etc., to bypass the complexities of setting up shop so far away and with a different culture, legal system etc.
Its a big reason why salaries for most standard development jobs have stagnated. Only in specialist areas, especially ones that need to work directly with business areas or need to move very quickly are things kept state side.

Anyone who wants to know why India hasn't achieved like China just needs to go spend 2 weeks in each country.
They will be fully aware why after that.
